Highlighters are always in style, whether it’s summer or winter or any season, a little extra shine always cheers you up. The star of Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess collection, Heat Wave Illuminating Powder Gelée, is a limited-edition highlighter released this summer. According to the official description, “This seductive all-over bronzer is endlessly summery.” Provides a soft luminous finish. Creates a shimmering pearl highlight.
Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Miles in Heat Wave is a limited-edition product that is part of the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection. The highlighter aka highlighter comes in a beautiful rose and aqua blue packaging. The product has a beautiful embossed and tray design. The highlighter is a bright medium gold color with warm yellow undertones and a metallic finish. Estee Lauder Powder Gel formulas are one of the best formulas out there, and even this one is amazing. The formula is made with a unique Prisma technique that gives it a gorgeous glow. It is a trio of liquid, powder and gel. It has a beautifully smooth surface and emits a soft glow that illuminates the skin’s complexion.
If you’re a fan of glitter (and who isn’t?), this is a great way to brighten up your skin. Especially in the summer), this is a great option to try. As this is a limited edition product you will need to check it out before it sells out. I would totally finish it off at the beach or on vacation. The formula of this highlighter is smooth to the touch, finely milled and has excellent color development. In my opinion, this highlighter is not suitable for everyday use, nor is it suitable for someone who works in a conservative or office environment on a daily basis. If you are looking for an everyday glow then this is not the product for you, Heat Wave has a very high gloss frosted finish that is very noticeable on the skin, so if you like intense highlighters, Heat Wave is perfect for you. Some highlighters tend to increase the visibility of pores and texture on the skin, I didn’t notice anything like that on my combination skin. It didn’t emphasize my problem areas.
For me, this would be the perfect addition to a highlighter when I need that extra touch of glam or summer glow on vacation or a night out. It creates a true metallic highlight. For a more intense glow, I wet my brush with a setting spray before applying the product. I think Heatwave works best for most skin tones. For very light skin tones, it’s more of a bronzer, and for light-medium to dark skin tones, it’s perfect as an illuminator. The staying power is really good, it applies and blends well. It has a fun shimmery effect and can also be used as an eyeshadow topper, as a highlighter or just as a fun eyeshadow. The packaging makes it even prettier to carry while traveling.
