Estee Lauder X Victoria Beckham Modern Mercury Highlighter

The Estee Lauder Victoria Beckham collection is everywhere on social media and everyone wants to own at least one. Whether it’s the quality or the luxurious packaging, everything in the collection is so beautiful and highly collectible. With a day job and kids, I sometimes miss important launches and that’s exactly when this collection happened.

By the time I learned that the Modern Mercury Highlighter had arrived in Canada, it was already sold out in Hudson Bay. So about a month later, I received a promotional email from Estee Lauder Canada (the one we signed up for) that had arrived on the official Estee Lauder website, and that’s when I ordered it without hesitation. As usual, the shipping from Estee Lauder’s website was very fast, and the packaging was, as always, beautifully gift-wrapped in the Estee Lauder box and gold wrapping. Whenever I order something from Estee Lauder, I’m always happy to see the packaging and I get the same excitement every time I open it. They really know how to present and make people feel like they’ve bought something beautiful.

This highlighter from Victoria Beckham’s website can be used as a cheekbone highlighter with or without bronzer makeup for a fresh, hydrated look. This highlighter is finely milled for a light, silky texture and is enriched with pearlescent pigments, making it perfect for creating a warm glow.

Let’s start with the packaging of this highlighter. It comes in a sturdy, compact package with black leather on the outside and gold metal on the sides. The leather is soft and supple and looks very sophisticated. Both the black and gold colors make the case look very classic and modern.

Then there is the product, which I had a great experience testing and now I regret not purchasing a backup. The interior of the product is a medium rose brown color with soft pink and gold shimmers that are very subtle on the skin. The powder formula is beautiful and feels very delicate and soft to the touch. The product is based on the brand’s gel formula that was introduced years ago and is very popular and cult favorite, which is why it is still loved and talked about today.

Pigmentation is incredible and very blendable. Depending on the scene and skin color, it can be layered on a daily basis or used as a soft highlighter. It can be very forgiving if overused. I’ve worn it to the office a few times now and it looks very natural and gives off a real glow from the inside out. For lighter skin tones, this may require a lighter hand. This highlighter is a classic formula and any brush I use will work well with this highlighter. I don’t think I feel the same way about any other product. Overall, I’m proud to say this is the best of its kind and one of the most beautiful highlighters I own.
