Dior perfumer Francois Demachy explains, “The fragrance had to be exciting, stirring, a little wild but approachable.” The iconic Miss Dior debuted in 1947, and without obliterating its beloved signature, it gives it a fresh, modern vibe by softening the concentration of jasmine and patchouli and emphasizing the sensual, suggestive rose in the middle notes. Dark, earthy notes are eliminated in favor of lively, exuberant pink pepper and bergamot. De Marchi says, “It had to explode like love at first sight, a celebration of love!” It sounds a lot like love and the beauty of love. The top note of this fragrance is Calabrian Bergamot Extract. The middle or middle note is Rose de Grasse Pure Oil / Damask Rose. The base notes are French Guiana Rosewood and Pink Pepper. I would love to mention these beautiful lines from Dior’s “Love as a Legacy” questionnaire, which is so perfect and explains the fragrance in a beautiful way.

Love is a legacy, love is eternal, and when a perfume smells like love, it must be something youthful, confident, beautiful, lively and seductive. The packaging of this perfume is a beautiful glass bottle with a very pretty little bow on the cap. I wear it almost every day. I love how fresh and modern it is. It’s not overwhelming, sensual but lively. The staying power is very good and I don’t need to reapply it for 6-7 hours on my skin, which is great.
